Gas Power facility approved for construction at Bamarang on the South Coast
In March 2007, approval was granted to construct a $156 million, gas fired power station at Bamarang, near Nowra.
Concept approval was also granted for a second stage of the project to convert the power station into a 400 megawatt base-load plant.
Delta has now finalised all relevant studies and has submitted for approval to construct the facility as a base load plant, should the need arise.
Thorough environmental assessments were undertaken which indicated that air quality criteria will be met and noise impacts will be negligible. |
